how do i become a donor?

  Any mother may apply to be a donor;

• Mothers with extra milk 
• Bereaved mothers who want to donate milk

We request that our approved donors donate a minimum of 100 ounces (over time).

Our donors are not compensated monetarily and freely donate their milk to infants in need. We can, however, provide our donors with milk bags to help alleviate the cost associated with purchasing them to store milk to be donated.  

Most donors become eligible to donate within a few days to a week. It can be done in as little as 48 hours when completed during the business week (Monday-Friday)

If you are an APPROVED donor you may drop off milk at any location that is convenient for you.

Not always. Many families require a small amount of milk to bridge the birth mothers own milk supply. Families can receive up to 40 ounces of human donor milk without a prescription. Should your baby continue to need additional milk, you will need a prescription to continue receiving milk. Please contact us to get started.​  

Milk is available for shipping/pick-up. Please contact us so that we can work with you to decide what works best for your family.  

Milk is available at a fee of $4.50+tax per ounce. 

• This cost covers the processing of the milk. 
• Milk may be covered by your health insurance. We advise that you contact your insurance provider to inquire about coverage. 

Human donor milk from an accredited milk bank is safe for infants to consume. 

• All milk is closely monitored for quality at every step to ensure top quality milk every time. 
• Our rigorous standards are set by the HMBANA, FDA, and advised by the CDC. 

Some medications may not be suitable for the premature and medically fragile recipients of human donor milk. Medications do not always disqualify you as a donor. Please contact us and we will review your medications with you to let you know if we can accept you milk.
